2024 Epcot International Food and Wine Festival Information and Planning Thread

For those who have done it before, would love to hear your opinions.
We arrive day before the festival starts. How busy is opening day vs. the next day (which will be a Friday)? Trying to decide what day to go. Hate festival weekends- but not sure Friday is as bad or if opening day gets a ton of visitors.
We are there often enough that the big rides aren't must dos- moreso looking for advice on ability to walk around the showcase, wait times at booths and bathrooms, etc.
We will have a mid day break walking back over to BC, so won't be spending a full day in the park.

I have no scientific data to share but vloggers on day one are definitely a factor. Not enough to impact waits for attractions - but they're in lines for food and staking out spots around World Showcase to film. Some are very respectful of other people and some ... are not. If you're a fan of a lot of vloggers can be fun to see them doing their thing. Purely my guess but I'd think Fri morning would be less chaotic than opening day. It will get progressively more crowded during the day as locals join. That said, I'd look at your schedule and the weather and do what works best for you.

Any news if they are bringing back the Apple Barn in Canada? That has been my all time favorite spot for Food and Wine.

We havent been there for the start of F&W but have been there for the close of it as well as the start of the Holiday festival and both were pretty crowded. Not NYE crowded but pretty crowded. While I didnt feel that walking around the World was that difficult, the lines were very long if you wanted to get a drink or something to eat. If I had to guess, Friday will be the more crowded of the two days but the first day will have more vloggers walking and standing around which can lead to some logjams.

Festival Favorites Quick Service coming to Communicore Plaza. This location will feature favorite selections from the Epcot festivals including the Food & Wine Festival:

Oooh. Interesting. Offering the cheddar cheese soup via quick serve would be amazing - especially in the cooler months. Trying to think of what the other common favorites would be. The soup and grilled cheese would be a good one. Maybe the sliders with the potato chip on top? The ham & cheese in the pretzel bun? The fry flights are always popular. Wonder if they'll do favorite specialty beverages too.

Yes, I would think that this location would offer the Canadian Cheddar Cheese soup. Wonder if they will offer a sample of the filet from Le Cellier? That item is always popular at the F&W festival.

Also, wonder if they will offer any of the items from the Festival of the Holidays?
